| Abstract: | In this article, Visual Concept Explorer (VCE), a concept mapping tool, is introduced and its design principles are described. VCE creates dynamic concept maps for the user and facilitates user’s visual interaction to concepts and documents. Its central idea is to make implicit knowledge structures explicit. As an example of practical knowledge mapping application, VCE has characteristics of both information visualization and knowledge visualization. |
